Christian Meditation
is receiving God's Word,
praying, talking and being silent to listen to His message to you. It
is a powerful technique to calm and quiet the mind of its daily
activities. If you are in search of a way to reflect, relax and heal
the mind, this is best way. Taking time to meditate will enable you to
be focus your attention on one place without any outside distractions.
What Is Christian Meditation?
A form of prayer that focuses on God's Word. It is an intimate time
between you and God, whether it is for a long period of time, or a few
minutes. During this time you might focus on a specific scripture,
recite it or pray about it. Some Christians, utilize the time to read a
daily devotional and meditate on the scripture for that particular day.
Is It Biblical?
Absolutely.
Do not let this book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8, New International Version).
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight. O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. (Psalm 19:14, New International Version)

How Do You Meditate?
There are many places to meditate. The important key is that you seek a
place where your mind can be focused, and you are comfortable and
relaxed. It could even be your bathroom! Hey, it's peaceful.You don't
have to sit criss cross applesauce, unless you want to wake up the old
legs and get a bit of a stretch.
Remember, this is a time you are receiving God's Word, praying, talking and being silent to listen to His message to you.
This is the time to use God's Word from scriptures to run those
negative thoughts from your mind and heal with his Word. You may use
this time to praise Him, pray, focus on a scripture or sit silent in
His presence. What you do with this time is between you and God.
Begin, by taking four deep breaths to quiet the mind and body.
Inhale 1, 2
Hold 1,2
Exhale 1,2,3,4
(Repeat 3 more times)
Try This One Sentence Meditation
When you have completed the breathing exercise above, begin by repeating the
first sentence of John 14:27 (King James Version).
Peace I give to you, My Peace I leave unto you.
(Repeat a few more times until you are completely relaxed)

scriptures. Christian Meditation is a powerful time for you to take
your concerns to the Lord, pray, be silent and listen to his message
for your life.
