About Dubee G.
In 2006, Dubee released "Tranquil
Spirits," a collection of silver flute solos accompanied by peaceful sounds of
nature. Her second, CD, "Organic Energy," provides contemplative meditations and
up tempo music of silver flute and non-flute compositions.
Earth Calls The Spirit,
released December 2008, is her newly released album. This is
contemplative compositions of Native American Cedar Flute and the
traditional silver flute written to allow the listener to reflect, heal
and capture the spirit. You will hear sounds of nature, cello, vocals,
harp and ethnic percussion.
Her music has been described as
both reflective and contemplative and draws deep within the spirit.
It captures the listener's attention to look deep within, becoming more
aware, more focused and more at peace.
What's with the "Dubee" name?
It's a childhood nickname given to her by her grandfather. Thus, she has continued to use it through adulthood.
What's up with the Curlfly name?
A
warm spring day a few years ago, a mother points out the beautiful
butterflies to a two year old. She says, "Look at the butterflies!" The
child repeats, "Curlfly! Curlfly!"
Dubee thought it was absolutely amusing and decided to use the name curlfly for her music. Curlflyproductions!
Dubee is
a flautist, who has written, recorded and independently
produced three CD's. She began playing the flute in high school and
continued through her adult years as a hobby. A few years ago Dubee
decided to share her flute music with her students. They enjoyed it so
much, the word spread to co-workers who requested CD's. Dubee began
writing and producing her music which turned into three CD's.
